Thankful Its Friday:

Didn't get to the gym last night...but I have a good excuse...Trick or Treat.  We traveled around to show our son off in his Dragon costume.  So I am going to make it up tonight.  Weighed myself today at work.  But i find it hard to estimate what my Clothes weigh...i believe what i have on right now is 4 pounds...Shoes and jeans...going with that assumption i am at 345.  But we will see tonight when i get to the gym in my traditional garb.

Breakfast was 300 calories and lunch is 480 calories.  Looking forward to a peaceful weekend.

Almost Friday:

So far the week has been going pretty good...Meals have been going good...I am not sure if i am getting tired of soups or not...but i struggle with finding a replacement that is easily trackable as soups.  I'll have to mosey around the store next time we go shopping.  I am scheduled to hit the gym tonight...and i don't see a reason that will keep me from getting there.

Breakfast was 350 calories and lunch is 480 calories, Dinner last night was Chicken Parmesan, not sure what the chef has in store for tonight.

Typical Wednesday:

Today seems to be a more typical day...I did get to the gym last night and my weight was unchanged from last Friday.  I am not alarmed since this is normal and I usually see a change between Monday and Friday...when i am more strict with my Breakfasts and Lunches.  FYI weight was 346.  My workout last night was good...did 30 minutes of Cardio burning 450 calories or so the machine says.  Then i did some benching, it felt good to still be able to slap on some 45's and pound some reps out.  But I can tell I am weaker then I have been in the past. But that is OK, my plan is to lose the fat first and then work on building the muscle back.

Breakfast was 300 calories and lunch was 600 Calories.  If i have some time tonight it would be good to get another cardio session in.

Workout Tuesday:

I plan on getting a workout in tonight after our early evening activities are complete...Probably won't get to the gym until after 8:00 PM.  Got a little care package yesterday on our mailbox...and I had some of the package this morning.  I hadn't had some chocalate chip cookies in a while and this morning I had 3.  The rest I am leaving for my wife.  So now i have more calories in the morning...guess that will be a couple more minutes on the elliptical tonight.

Breakfast = 500 calories (240 of it came from 3 cookies), Lunch = 600, it's ok though i am still good for dinner tonight!

(It was worth it, the cookies were really good :-D)

Monday Afternoon:

So my Sunday post stole a little bit of my thunder for my Monday post.  Hopefully I am still at the weight i was on Friday afternoon...My weekend was good and I didn't do anything out of the ordinary.  I lookup my current calories that i should have daily... I should hover around 2850 Calories at my current weight of 346...

Breakfast was 350 today, Lunch was 520 calories...Total = (870) which means i have 1980 calories to use up for my dinner..and i know i am not going to McDonalds and getting a large number 2, so i should be fine.

Sub 300 here i come!!!

Good Sunday:

Here is an unusual post on a sunday.  I got to the Gym Friday afternoon and i stepped on the scale.  Fortunately i liked what i saw.  348, which means i was down another pound.  Then i decided to try something new.  I took off my shoes and weighed myself again...I was expecting a pound less, but what i saw was 2 pounds less.  Which means i am at 346!  This means i have crossed a new barrier, the twenty pound mark.  Just a short 2 months ago i weighed 367 and now i weigh 346.  I am hoping that by Christmas that i will be 326...I definitely love progress...and evidently i can subtract 2 pounds for the weight of my shoes!

Friday:

Looking forward to some relaxation this weekend.  I did not get to the gym last night...i am hopeful to get there tonight.  This week seemed to be extra long to me.  I am looking forward to this weekend.

Breakfast was light at 275 calories and lunch is more routine at 500 calories...Since the wife and kid are away tonight I am not sure what is on the books for dinner tonight.

Already Thursday:

First the good news...it is already Thursday...Now...wait, there really isn't any bad news and I feel blessed for that.  I am hoping to get to the gym tonight to get a workout in...not sure if I will be able to or not. Looking forward to Friday and having a guys night out!

Breakfast was 300 calories and lunch is 550 calories.  Looking forward to maybe going out to dinner tonight?  Not sure if it is in the cards though.

Another Wednesday:

Got to the gym last night and was fairly impressed with how I and Jim did on the step machine, did a 20 minute routine on the stepper and then decided to do another 15 minutes on the Elliptical machine.  After that we caught a 10 minute sauna...In which we had a discussion that is as follows:

Me - "When we get in the sauna we should talk Russian"
Jim - "Why?  Saunas are from Finland!"
Me - "Well by our current body weight we could more easily pass as Russians then the Finnish!"
Jim - "All we need is the Palm leaves to hit ourselves with"

Great gym conversations!  Also my weight held at 349 for the weekend.

Breakfast was 250 calories and lunch was 550 Calories.  Not sure what the plan is for dinner!?

Working Tuesday:

Normal Tuesday filled with work and other stuff.  I decided to step on the scale here at work just to see what it says.  I was a little alarmed to see that it said 353.  But then i realized that i had work clothes on and not my normal gym clothes.  So i can bet that my jeans / polo shirt and Hiking boots make up about 3 - 4 pounds which places me back at 349.  I will see if this is true when i hit the gym later tonight.

Breakfast was 350 calories and lunch was 550 calories.  Again Plenty of room for Dinner...i sincerely hope this lifestyle change is doing something for the good.  I know i feel a little better and i can only imagine how good i will feel when i get to my goal.

Pretty Good Monday:

I had a pretty good weekend, sure the weather was bad (rain and cold).  My time off was relaxing.  I did manage to get myself to the gym on Saturday morning and when i stepped on the scale i was greeted with a new second digit in my weight a 4 (349)...that's right, i have moved out of the 50's and into the 40's now.  And in light of this new development i am going to do a retrospective of what i have been able to accomplish over the last two(almost) months.

August 24th, 2009 - Weight 367
October 17th, 2009 - Weight 349
Weight loss - 18 pounds

Projected weight as of July 24th, 2010 - (under 300), I am not going to Jinx myself this early in my program!  But I can tell you i have been losing on average 2 pounds per week. So you can do the math. (Hint there are 40 weeks until July 24th.

Breakfast was 350 calories and lunch was 600 calories, plenty left over for dinner tonight.

You learn something everyday:

So I know that Mcdonalds is bad for you.  I know that stuff has Trans fat and everything else that is bad for you.  But i was in a bind this morning and running late.  So I stopped by our local McDonald's and picked up 2 Sausage McMuffins with Eggs  I figured they couldn't be that bad for you. Holy Cow I was wrong.  Each sandwich was 450 calories, i had 2 so that equals 900 calories in the morning...stink.  Guess I'll need to get to the gym tonight to work some of that off.  Mental note to self...don't go to Mcdonalds.

Breakfast = 900 calories -_-, lunch is 600 calories.  So right now i am at 1500 calories.  I need to eat a very sensible dinner tonight.

Not so Hectic Thursday:

Today is not as hectic as yesterday...I actually ate my lunch today :-), I didn't get to the gym last night, so i am hoping to get there tonight and get some cardio in.  Breakfast was a little on the light side today, 200 calories and lunch was 350, but i added a mid-morning snack today of 200 calories but i am still under my daily calories even with dinner tonight.

Hectic Wednesday:

Today was just a little bit hectic at work.  Hectic enough that I did not have enough time to eat lunch.  Hopefully tonight i will find a little bit of time to get to the gym.  I know that I need to take the Dog to the vet to get a shot and I am not really looking forward to that.

Breakfast was 350 Calories,  Lunch was 0 calories.  I need to remember to eat it i guess! Big dinner here i come... :-)

Tuesday stinks...after a 4 day weekend:

Well today officially stinks, I took both Friday and Monday off from work to spend some time with my family and to have our first annual Columbus (Comfy) Day Holiday.  Which basically means we sit around at the house in our BJ's all day.  But just because it was comfy day doesn't mean that I didn't get to the gym.
Last week I did not get to the gym as much as i would have liked, in fact I only went one day.  So naturally i was apprehensive when I got on the scale yesterday.  But much to my surprise I found out then i was again in the negative...down to 351 pounds.  And if i take the shoe theory into my calculations It is really 350 pounds.  But for now i am considering it 351.  Since I went to the gym last night i am not scheduled to go until tomorrow night but maybe I will find some time to go tonight just to do some cardio.  We'll see...

Breakfast was slightly larger today, 350 Calories.  Lunch was pretty normal at 500 calories.  I believe we might be having either spaghetti or pizza burgers for dinner tonight.

Technical Thursday:

Today I declare Technical Thursday...anything that could go wrong with technology has seemed to go wrong...it is almost like someone dropped am EMP bomb on my office.  And instead of just knocking out everything that runs on electricity...it caused on computer based things to act randomly.  I will be glad when today is over!

I didn't get to the gym last night.  I have family coming in this weekend and I spent alot of the night preparing for that.  Tonight we are going to a friends house for dinner but i am ever optimistic that i will get to the gym tonight.

Breakfast was 250 calories, lunch was 480 calories.  So i have plenty of calories for tonight.

Windy Wednesday:

Today's blog is a little later then usual.  I was extremely busy at work today and I did not have time to blog about my routine.  Tonight i plan on getting to the gym, most likely it will be later tonight after my son goes to bed.  I am hoping to see continuing positive results.  I am hoping to be in the 40's after this weekend if possible.

Breakfast was 250 calories today and lunch was 500 calories...dinner is chicken cordon blue soup...and i am quite positive that will be under the 2100 calories that i have left for the day.

Normal Tuesday:

I did get to the gym last night...missed heroes in the process, but that is why Hulu was invented ;-)  Stepped on the scale and was greeted with a -1, 352 (and that is with my shoes on, i hear they weight at least 1 pound)  and still losing weight!  That places the Wii Fit Magic number to 13.  I am hoping that i can reach this before thanksgiving. which would put me about 1.5 pounds per week.  Which I currently have been doing so it seems realistic to me. So far i have been doing this routine for 6 weeks and I have lost 15 pounds...so that is 2.33 pounds per week or 4 percent of my total body weight...So if my goal is 1.5, I believe i can make that.

I haven't been posting what I eat, but only how many calories.  Here is my basic food list for a day.
Breakfast - Cereal, usually Some sort of Korn Flakes or something like Lucky Charms.  Nothing crazy, but only one serving of it.  Around 230 - 300 Calories.
Lunch - Soup, Campbell Chunky single serving variety...not sure why the label says each bowl is two servings but alas they around 200 - 300 calories.  12 - 15 White Corn chips...120 calories. Grapes...150 calories.

So Breakfast and lunch = between  700 and 900 calories on average.  The daily nutritional servings in calories for a 320 pound guy is 2700 for a guy wanting to lose weight.  Which means on average i have between 2000 and 1800 calories left over for dinner...which if it was at McDonalds (which it never is)  I could have a Big Mac, Large Fri and a Chocolate Shake and still have 200 calories to go.

Workout Monday:

This weekend did not go as planned for me.  I caught a touch of a cold on Saturday and because of that i did not get to the gym as planned.  But the good thing is i kept on my eating regiment and i hope to not have suffered any  ill effects of not getting to the gym.
But today I am feeling much better and I am going to get to the gym and get some good cardio in.  I really am not sure what my weight is at so look for an update tomorrow!

Breakfast was 300 calories and lunch is 450 calories.  I am actually a little light so far for today!

Friday: Is good, Thursday night is bad...

Friday is good...Thursday night is bad, i didn't get to the gym as planned. Tonight I am going to get there.  It might be later then i anticipated.  But I need to hit the Cardio Machine hard.  -_-

Breakfast was a little larger at 350 calories and lunch a little smaller at 550 calories.  Not sure what is for dinner...but i still have enough free calories for whatever we do.

Workout Thursday and one step closer to Wii Fit:

Well today is workout Thursday...My plan for tonight is to do 30 minutes of cardio and then to do a more traditional workout involving my upper body...chest/triceps/biceps.  So far my workouts have been going pretty good and i am coming to enjoy working out on the cardio machines.

Breakfast was 250 calories and lunch is 610 calories.  I have been pretty happy with my ability to not snack between meals and after dinner.  The tempation is always there but i have been doing a good job so far.

I haven't said this before on my blog but this is my goal number 1: to be able to play Wii Fit.  It isn't that i can't because of my athletic ability (i consider myself to be pretty athletic)...it is solely because of my weight.  Wii Fit has a weight limit of 330 pounds.  And as of today i am only 13 pounds away from being able to play Wii Fit!
